The Public University of Navarre (UPNA) is a Spanish higher education institution, founded in 1987 by the regional government of Navarre, Spain.
UPNA is composed of the following Faculties and Schools: School of Economics and Business Administration, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, Technical School for Industrial Engineering, Computing and Telecommunications, School of Agronomical Engineering. UPNA offers 20 Bachelor Degrees (6.836 students), 31 Master Degrees (764 students) and 13 Doctoral Programmes (448 students). 863 teaching and research staff and 458 administrative staff support the university activities.
UPNA has implemented an Internal Quality Assurence System related to its Degrees, designed according to criteria of the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain, ANECA.
UPNA has been awarded “International Campus of Excellence CEI-2010” as part of the Campus Iberus Project, in October 2010 by the Spanish Ministry of Education. In April 2011, the transnational Campus “EBRoS WESTERN PYRENEES” is created, including Campus Iberus, Pôle de Recherche et d’Enseignement Supérieur Université de Toulouse, and Université de Pau et des Pays de L’Adour
With 377 outgoing international mobility students and 238 incoming foreign students, and with its 6 International Programs, (especial academic paths associated to the correspondent Bachelors intensifying the international) UPNA holds one of the highest rates of international exchange students and of English taught courses, among the Spanish public universities.
